• Do not immerse the power base, cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
• This appliance is equipped with an automatic shut-off feature and boil-dry protection for safety. The kettle will turn off automatically once water reaches a boil or if it boils dry.
• The handle is designed to remain cool to the touch during operation, but caution should always be exercised when handling hot water.
• Keep the appliance out of reach of children.
• Unplug the kettle from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning.

Setup

1. Unboxing: Carefully remove the kettle and all its components from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport if needed.
2. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, fill the kettle to the 1.8L MAX line with water. Boil the water, then discard it. Repeat this process two more times to ensure the kettle is thoroughly cleaned and any manufacturing residues are removed.
3. Placement: Place the 360° swivel power base on a dry, flat, and stable surface. Ensure the power cord is not dangling or in a position where it could be tripped over.

Operating Instructions

1. Fill the Kettle: Open the lid and fill the kettle with fresh, cold water. Do not fill below the 0.5L MIN line or above the 1.8L MAX line. For optimal performance and to prevent mineral buildup, it is recommended to use filtered water.
2. Using the Tea Infuser (Optional): If brewing tea, place your desired amount of loose-leaf tea or tea bags into the removable stainless steel tea infuser. Insert the infuser into the kettle before closing the lid.
3. Place on Power Base: Position the kettle securely onto the 360° swivel power base.
4. Start Boiling: Press the On/Off switch located on the handle. The blue LED indicator light will illuminate, indicating that the kettle is heating the water.
5. Automatic Shut-Off: The kettle will automatically turn off once the water reaches a rolling boil. The blue LED light will extinguish.
6. Pouring: Carefully lift the kettle from its power base for cordless pouring. The ergonomic handle is designed to remain cool.

This kettle is versatile and can be used for a variety of hot beverages and instant foods, including hot or iced tea, coffee, hot cocoa, instant oatmeal, and for sterilizing water for baby bottles.

Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance will prolong the life of your Chefman Electric Kettle.

• Daily Cleaning: After each use, unplug the kettle and allow it to cool. Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
• Kettle Interior: The kettle has a filter to keep water clean. Rinse the interior with hot water. Avoid using soap inside the kettle as it can leave residue.
• Tea Infuser: The removable tea infuser can be washed in warm, soapy water and rinsed thoroughly.
• Descaling (Mineral Deposits): If mineral deposits (limescale) accumulate, fill the kettle with a mixture of equal parts white vinegar and water. Let it soak for at least 30 minutes, or boil the mixture for 5-10 minutes for stubborn deposits. Discard the mixture and rinse the kettle thoroughly several times with fresh water.
• Power Base: Never immerse the power base in water or any other liquid. Wipe it clean with a dry cloth only.
