Setup

1. Battery Installation

  1. Ensure the walkie-talkie is powered off.
  2. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the unit.
  3. Open the cover and insert the two AA rechargeable batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-).
  4. Securely close the battery compartment cover to maintain the waterproof seal.

2. Charging the Batteries

Use the provided USB car charger and USB cables to charge the walkie-talkies. Connect the USB cable to the charging port on the radio and the other end to the USB car charger. The charging indicator will illuminate during charging.

3. Attaching the Belt Clip

Align the belt clip with the grooves on the back of the walkie-talkie and slide it down until it clicks into place. The integrated whistle can be used for signaling.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off

Press and hold the Power button (usually located on the front panel below the display) until the display illuminates or turns off.

2. Channel Selection

Press the Menu button to enter the menu. Use the + or - buttons to navigate to the channel selection option. Press Menu again to confirm your selection. The device supports 16 channels.

3. Transmitting and Receiving

To transmit, press and hold the Push-to-Talk (PTT) button on the side of the radio. Speak clearly into the microphone. Release the PTT button to receive. Ensure both radios are on the same channel and privacy code (if applicable) for communication.

4. Using the Integrated Torch

The integrated torch has bright white and red modes. It will automatically activate on contact with water. For manual operation, refer to the specific button for the torch function, typically located on the top or side of the unit.

5. Emergency Alert Button

Press the dedicated emergency alert button to activate a hands-free call and sound a loud warning tone on your radio. This signals to others in your group that you require assistance.

Maintenance

Cleaning

Clean the exterior of the walkie-talkie with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. If the device has been exposed to saltwater, rinse it thoroughly with fresh water immediately after use and ensure all ports are sealed.

Battery Care

To prolong battery life, fully charge the batteries before first use. Store the walkie-talkies and batteries in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.
