Operating Instructions
Water Flow and Temperature Control
The single lever handle on the side of the tap controls both water flow and temperature. Move the handle to the left for hot water, to the right for cold water, and up or down to adjust the water flow intensity.
Using the Pull-Out Spray
To use the pull-out spray, simply pull the spray head away from the main spout. The flexible hose allows for extended reach. The spray head features a button to switch between a concentrated jet and a wider spray pattern, suitable for various tasks like rinsing dishes or washing vegetables.
After use, the magnetic holder (IPS11) ensures the spray head easily and securely returns to its original position within the main spout.

Maintenance
Care and Cleaning Instructions
Proper care will help maintain the appearance and functionality of your IKEA VIMMERN mixer tap.
- Regular Cleaning: Clean the tap regularly with a soft, damp cloth. Use only water and a mild dishwashing detergent or soft soap.
- Drying: After cleaning, wipe the tap dry with a clean, soft cloth to prevent water spots and mineral buildup.
- Avoid Harsh Cleaners: Do not use scouring pads, steel wool, or abrasive cleaners. Avoid cleaning agents that contain descaling agents, acids, alcohol, or abrasives, as these can damage the tap's surface finish.
Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your mixer tap. For complex problems, it is recommended to contact a qualified plumber.
Low Water Pressure
- Check Water Supply: Ensure that the hot and cold water supply valves under the sink are fully open.
- Inspect Aerator: The aerator at the tip of the spray head can become clogged with debris or mineral deposits. Unscrew the aerator and clean it thoroughly. Replace if damaged.
- Flow Regulator: Verify that the internal flow regulator is not obstructed.
Leaks
- Connection Points: Check all hose connections under the sink to ensure they are tightened properly. Do not overtighten.
- O-Rings and Gaskets: Inspect the condition of O-rings and gaskets at connection points. Replace any that appear worn or damaged.
- Spout Leaks: If water leaks from the spout when the tap is off, the ceramic disc cartridge may require inspection or replacement by a qualified professional.
Difficulty Adjusting Temperature
- Water Supply: Ensure both hot and cold water supplies are connected and functioning correctly.
- Cartridge Issue: Inconsistent temperature mixing may indicate an issue with the ceramic disc cartridge, which might require servicing or replacement.
