8. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter.
8.1. System Not Booting / No Display
- Verify all power connections (24-pin ATX, 8-pin CPU, graphics card PCIe power) are securely seated.
- Ensure memory modules are correctly installed in the DIMM slots.
- Check that the CPU is properly seated in its socket.
- If available, consult the Q-Code display on the motherboard for diagnostic codes, which can indicate the source of the issue. Refer to the user manual for Q-Code definitions.
8.2. USB Port Malfunctions
If USB ports are not functioning correctly or disconnect randomly, ensure all necessary chipset drivers are installed and updated. Verify that the BIOS is updated to the latest version. If issues persist, try disabling USB Legacy Support in the BIOS or testing with different USB devices.
8.3. Slow Boot Times
Slow boot times can be influenced by various factors. Ensure your operating system is installed on a fast storage device (e.g., NVMe M.2 SSD). Check BIOS settings for 'Fast Boot' options and enable them if desired. Outdated drivers or excessive startup programs can also contribute to slow boot times.
8.4. BIOS Reset (Clear CMOS)
If system instability or incorrect BIOS settings prevent normal operation, you may need to clear the CMOS. Locate the CLRTC (Clear CMOS) jumper or button on the motherboard and follow the instructions in the full user manual to reset BIOS settings to default.
