Setup

1. Battery Installation: The thermometer comes with one Lithium Metal battery (CR2032) pre-installed. If replacement is needed, locate the battery compartment on the back of the device. Use a small screwdriver to open the compartment, insert a new CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing up, and secure the cover.
2. Power On: The thermometer features motion-activated wake. Simply unfold the probe to turn the device on. The display will illuminate and show the current temperature.

Operating Instructions

1. Taking a Temperature Reading:
   • Unfold the probe to power on the thermometer.
   • Insert the stainless steel probe into the thickest part of the food, avoiding bones or gristle.
   • Hold the probe steady until the temperature reading stabilizes on the display, typically within 2-3 seconds.
   • The large 2-inch backlit display will automatically rotate 180 degrees, ensuring readability from any angle.
2. Switching Temperature Units (Celsius/Fahrenheit): To switch between Fahrenheit (°F) and Celsius (°C), gently double-tap the front panel of the thermometer. The display will change to the desired unit.
3. Auto-Sleep Function: The thermometer will automatically enter sleep mode after a period of inactivity to conserve battery life. To reactivate, simply pick up the device or unfold the probe.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning: After each use, wipe the stainless steel probe with a damp cloth and mild soap. Clean the body of the thermometer with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the entire thermometer in water, although it is IP65 water-resistant against splashes and spills.
2. Storage: Fold the probe back into the body of the thermometer for safe storage. The integrated magnets allow for convenient attachment to metal surfaces like refrigerators or oven hoods.

Troubleshooting

• No Display/Power Issues: Ensure the battery (CR2032) is correctly installed and has sufficient charge. Replace the battery if necessary.
• Inaccurate Readings: Verify the probe is inserted into the thickest part of the food and not touching bone or the cooking surface. Allow sufficient time (2-3 seconds) for the reading to stabilize. If issues persist, the thermometer may require recalibration or service.
• Display Not Rotating: Ensure the thermometer is being held in a way that triggers the motion sensor. If the issue continues, contact customer support.
