5. Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the rugged case.
  2. Battery Installation: Insert the Performance Power Magazine (PPM) battery into the device's handle. Ensure it clicks securely into place.
  3. Cartridge Loading: With the safety switch in the "SAFE" position, insert the cartridges into the front of the device until they click. The X2 accommodates two cartridges.
  4. Initial Check: Verify the Central Information Display (CID) shows a full battery charge and indicates cartridges are loaded.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. General Operation

  1. Safety Off: Move the safety switch to the "ARMED" position. The CID will illuminate, and the lasers will activate.
  2. Aiming: Use the dual lasers to aim at the target. The lasers indicate the spread of the probes.
  3. Warning Arc (Optional): To deter a threat without firing, press the warning arc switch. An electrical arc will display across the front of the device.
  4. Firing: To deploy probes, firmly press the trigger. The device will discharge an electrical pulse for 5 seconds. If the first shot misses or is ineffective, a second cartridge can be deployed immediately by pressing the trigger again.
  5. Safety On: After use, immediately return the safety switch to the "SAFE" position.

To replace spent cartridges:

  1. Ensure the safety switch is in the "SAFE" position.
  2. Press the cartridge release buttons on the sides of the device.
  3. Remove the spent cartridges.
