- Connect Positive Clamp: Attach the red (+) clamp to the positive (+) terminal of the battery.
- Connect Negative Clamp: Attach the black (-) clamp to the negative (-) terminal of the battery. If connecting to a vehicle, attach the negative clamp to the vehicle chassis away from the battery and fuel line.
- Connect to Power: Plug the charger's power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.
- Select Settings: Use the rotary switch to select the desired voltage (12V or 24V) and charging current (2A, 8A, or 15A) based on your battery's requirements.
Operating Instructions
Battery Charging:
- Ensure the charger is set up as described in the "Setup" section.
- The digital display will show the charging status. Indicators for "charging" will illuminate.
- The charger will automatically adjust the charging process. When the battery is fully charged, the "full" indicator will illuminate.
- Once charging is complete, unplug the charger from the power outlet first, then disconnect the negative (-) clamp, followed by the positive (+) clamp.
Boost Start Function (12V 75A):
The boost start function provides a high current to assist in starting a vehicle with a discharged battery. This function is only available for 12V systems.
- Connect the charger to the battery as described in the "Setup" section.
- Turn the rotary switch to the "12V 75A BOOST ROZRUCH" position.
- Attempt to start the vehicle. Do not crank the engine for more than 5 seconds. Wait at least 60 seconds between attempts.
- Once the vehicle starts, immediately turn off the charger, unplug it from the power outlet, and then disconnect the clamps in reverse order (negative first, then positive).
Diagnostic Functions:
- Alternator Test: Press the "Alternator Test" button to check the vehicle's alternator performance. Refer to the display for results.
- Battery Test (Batt./Aku. Test): Press the "Batt./Aku. Test" button to assess the battery's condition. The display will show the test results.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Disconnect the charger from power before cleaning. Wipe the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the charger in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Ensure cables are neatly coiled and clamps are clean.
- Cable Inspection: Regularly inspect the charging cables and clamps for any signs of damage, fraying, or corrosion. Replace damaged components immediately.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Charger not turning on | No power from outlet; faulty power cord; internal fault. | Check power outlet with another device; inspect power cord; contact support if issue persists. |
| "Fault" indicator illuminated | Incorrect battery connection (reverse polarity); short circuit; damaged battery. | Verify correct clamp connection (+ to +, - to -); inspect cables for damage; test battery condition. |
| Battery not charging | Incorrect voltage/current selection; deeply discharged battery; faulty battery. | Ensure correct 12V/24V and current setting; allow more time for deeply discharged batteries; test battery condition. |
| Boost start not working | Incorrect mode selected; battery too severely discharged; vehicle issue. | Confirm "12V 75A BOOST" is selected; ensure good connection; check vehicle's starter system. |
