Setup

The K&H Extra-Wide Heated Outdoor Cat House is designed for easy assembly without the need for tools. The walls are secured with hook & loop fasteners, and the roof is easily attached.

Operating Instructions

Heated Pad Functionality

The included heated pad is designed to activate only when your pet is on the pad. It will not feel warm to the touch when empty. This is a normal and energy-efficient design feature. The pad warms to a few degrees above ambient air temperature when not in use, and to approximately 102°F (39°C) when a pet is present, adjusting to your pet's natural body temperature.

Testing the Heated Pad

To verify the heated pad is working correctly:

1. Plug the bed directly into an outlet. Do not use an extension cord for testing.
2. Allow the bed to warm up for at least 1 hour before testing.
3. Place a large pillow on top of the heated pad.
4. After approximately 20 minutes, feel under the pillow. The pad should feel warm, not hot. If warmth is detected, the product is functioning as designed.

Safety Features

The cat house is equipped with two exits, each featuring a removable clear plastic flap. These dual exits prevent pets from being trapped by predators and offer sufficient protection from wind and cold while maintaining visibility.

Maintenance

The heated cat bed includes a removable, washable cover. For cleaning, remove the cover and wash it according to the care instructions on the label. This ensures the pet's space remains fresh and comfortable.

Troubleshooting

Heated Pad Not Feeling Warm
