Maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and efficient operation of your evaporative cooler.
Cleaning the Water Tank:
- Unplug the unit from the power outlet.
- Pull out the water tank.
- Empty any remaining water.
- Clean the tank with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
- Allow the tank to air dry completely before reinserting. This helps prevent mold and mildew growth.
Cleaning the Air Filter and Cooling Pad:
- Unplug the unit.
- Remove the air filter from the rear of the unit (refer to Figure 3).
- Gently rinse the air filter and cooling pad under running water to remove dust and debris. For stubborn dirt, use a soft brush.
- Allow both components to dry completely before reassembling them into the unit.
- Inspect the cooling pad periodically for mineral buildup. If heavily scaled, it may need replacement.
General Cleaning:
- Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Ensure no water enters the control panel or other electrical parts.
Storage:
- Before storing, ensure the water tank is empty and clean, and all filters and pads are dry.
- Store the unit in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original packaging, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
