6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning the Air Filter

The air filter should be cleaned every two weeks or more frequently depending on usage. A dirty filter reduces efficiency. To clean:

  1. Unplug the unit from the power outlet.
  2. Remove the filter from the back or side of the unit (refer to diagram in full manual if available).
  3. Wash the filter with lukewarm water and a mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly.
  4. Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinstalling. Do not expose to direct sunlight.

6.2 Draining Condensed Water

During cooling and dehumidifying operations, water condenses inside the unit. The unit has a self-evaporating system, but in high humidity conditions, the internal water tank may fill. When full, the unit will stop operating and display an error code (e.g., 'FL').

  • Unplug the unit.
  • Place a shallow pan or tray under the drainage outlet at the bottom rear of the unit.
  • Remove the drain plug to allow water to flow out.
  • Once drained, replace the drain plug securely.

6.3 Cleaning the Exterior

Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasives, or solvents.

6.4 Storage

If storing the unit for an extended period:

  1. Drain all condensed water.
  2. Clean the air filter.
  3. Run the unit in fan-only mode for a few hours to dry the interior.
  4. Unplug the unit and coil the power cord.
  5. Store in a dry, cool place, preferably in its original packaging.
