1. Introduction

3. Setup

3.1 Connecting the Phone

Connect the Handset: Plug one end of the coiled handset cord into the handset and the other end into the handset port on the phone base.
Connect to Network:
- Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the LAN port on the phone.
- Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to your network switch or router.
- If using Power over Ethernet (PoE), the phone will power on automatically.
Connect Power (if not using PoE): Plug the power adapter into the power port on the phone and then into an electrical outlet.
Connect PC (Optional): If you wish to connect a computer through the phone, plug an Ethernet cable from your computer into the PC port on the phone.

3.2 Initial Boot-up

Upon successful connection, the phone will power on and begin its boot-up sequence. This process may take a few minutes as the phone obtains network configuration and registers with your SIP server. The display will show progress messages.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Making a Call

Lift the handset or press the Speaker button.
Dial the desired phone number using the keypad.
Press the Dial soft key or wait for the call to connect automatically.

4.2 Answering a Call

When the phone rings:

Lift the handset.
Alternatively, press the Speaker button to answer in speakerphone mode.
Press the Answer soft key.

4.3 Ending a Call

To end an active call:

Place the handset back in its cradle.
If using speakerphone, press the Speaker button again or the End Call soft key.

4.4 Basic Call Features

Hold: During a call, press the Hold soft key. Press it again to resume the call.
Transfer: During a call, press the Transfer soft key, dial the new number, and then press Transfer again.
Mute: Press the Mute button to mute your microphone. Press it again to unmute.
Volume Control: Use the Volume buttons to adjust handset, speaker, or ringer volume.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the Phone

Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the phone's surface.
Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the finish.
Do not spray cleaning liquids directly onto the phone.

5.2 Firmware Updates

Firmware updates are typically managed by your system administrator. Do not attempt to manually update the firmware unless instructed by your IT department or Mitel support.

6. Troubleshooting

Phone does not power on.	No power connection or PoE issue.	Verify power adapter is securely connected to phone and outlet. If using PoE, ensure Ethernet cable is connected to a PoE-enabled port.
Cannot make or receive calls.	Network connectivity issue or SIP registration failure.	Check Ethernet cable connection. Restart the phone by unplugging and re-plugging the power/Ethernet cable. Contact your system administrator for SIP registration status.
No dial tone.	Handset or speakerphone not activated, or network issue.	Lift handset or press Speaker button. Check network connection.
