Setup and Installation

  1. Prepare the Cable: Strip the outer jacket of your shore power cable to the appropriate length, exposing the insulated conductors.
  2. Strip Conductors: Carefully strip approximately 1/2 inch (12mm) of insulation from each conductor (Line, Neutral, Ground).
  3. Connect Wires: Loosen the terminal screws on the connector. Insert each stripped conductor into its corresponding terminal. Ensure no stray wire strands are present.
  4. Secure Connections: Tighten the terminal screws firmly to ensure a secure electrical connection. Tug gently on each wire to confirm it is properly seated and cannot be pulled out.
  5. Assemble Connector: Reassemble the connector housing, ensuring all components are properly aligned and tightened to prevent water ingress.
  6. Test: Before connecting to shore power, verify all connections are correct and secure.

Operating Instructions

  1. Connect to Boat Inlet: Align the female connector with the boat's shore power inlet and push firmly until it clicks into place.
  2. Connect to Shore Pedestal: Connect the male end of your shore power cord to the shore power pedestal.
  3. Engage Power: Turn on the circuit breaker at the shore power pedestal.
  4. Disconnecting: Always turn off the circuit breaker at the shore power pedestal first. Then, disconnect the male end from the pedestal, followed by the female connector from the boat inlet.
