Setup and Installation

This kit is designed for straightforward installation, providing manual control for your 12V electric fan. Follow these steps carefully:

  1. Disconnect Battery: Before beginning any electrical work, disconnect the negative terminal of your vehicle's battery to prevent accidental short circuits.
  2. Mount Rocker Switch: Choose a suitable location in your vehicle's dashboard or panel for the rocker switch. Ensure the location allows for easy access and does not interfere with other vehicle controls. Cut an appropriate opening for the switch if necessary.
  3. Install Fuse Holder: The included fuse holder provides critical circuit protection. Install it close to the 12V switched power source.
  4. Wiring Connections: Refer to the wiring diagram below for proper connections.

    • Connect the wire from the fuse holder to a 12V switched power source (e.g., ignition-switched power).
    • Connect the output wire from the switch to the positive (+) terminal of your electric fan.
    • Connect the ground wire from the switch to a reliable chassis ground point on your vehicle.
    • Ensure the electric fan's negative (-) terminal is also connected to a reliable chassis ground.
  5. Secure Wiring: Use the provided wire ties to neatly secure all wiring, keeping it away from hot or moving parts.
  6. Insert Fuse: Once all connections are made and secured, insert the 20 Amp fuse into the fuse holder.
