1. Product Overview

The Runleader RL-HM008 is a digital LCD hour meter designed to track the operating time of various equipment. It features a 6-digit, 7-segment LCD display and operates within a wide DC voltage range of 4.5V to 90V. 2. Key Features

3. Installation

3.1 Panel Cut-out Dimensions

3.2 Wiring Instructions

The RL-HM008 hour meter has three terminals: positive (+), negative (-), and a reset terminal (C). Follow the diagram below for proper connection.

1. Connect the positive (+) terminal of the hour meter to the positive terminal of your DC power source (4.5V-90V).
2. Connect the negative (-) terminal of the hour meter to the negative terminal (ground) of your DC power source.
3. The 'C' terminal is for resetting the total hours. Connecting this terminal to the positive power source will reset the accumulated hours. Use this function carefully. For normal operation, the 'C' terminal can be left unconnected unless a reset function is desired.
4. For display control, you can integrate a key-switch between the power source and the meter's positive terminal to turn the display on or off.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Powering On/Off

The hour meter activates when connected to a DC power source within its specified voltage range (4.5V-90V). If a key-switch is integrated into the wiring, use the switch to control the display's power state.

4.2 Reading Total Hours

The LCD displays the total accumulated operating hours. The display ranges from 0 to 999,999 hours. The last digit represents tenths of an hour (e.g., 1.0 indicates 1 hour, 0.1 indicates 6 minutes). A flashing hourglass icon on the display indicates that the meter is actively accumulating time.

4.3 Resetting Total Hours

The total accumulated hours can be reset. To perform a reset, connect the 'C' terminal to the positive power source. Caution: Resetting the hour meter will permanently erase all accumulated data. Ensure this action is intended before proceeding.

5. Maintenance

6. Troubleshooting

• Display Not Working:
  • Check power connections to ensure they are secure and correctly wired to the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals.
  • Verify that the power source voltage is within the specified range of DC 4.5V-90V.
  • If a key-switch is used, ensure it is in the "on" position.
• Hours Not Accumulating:
  • Ensure the meter is receiving continuous power when the equipment is operating.
  • Check for a flashing hourglass icon on the display; if it's not flashing, the meter is not recording time.
• Inaccurate Readings:
  • Confirm the power supply is stable and within the specified voltage range.

• Accidental Reset:
  • If the 'C' terminal was accidentally connected to positive power, the hours will be reset. This action is irreversible.
