Product Overview

The Chicco KidFit Belt-Positioning Booster is designed with 10 positions of DuoGuard protection to accommodate growing children. It offers both head and torso protection with height adjustment from the waist. The KidFit features premium LATCH connectors and a SuperCinch one-pull tightener for secure installation. Belt guides ensure proper vehicle seat belt positioning, and side wings are lined with EPS energy-absorbing foam. The contoured ErgoBoost seat with double foam padding provides comfort. The 2-position backrest adjusts to mimic the vehicle seat position and is removable for conversion to a backless booster. Two dishwasher-safe cup holders are collapsible and easy to remove for cleaning. All fabrics, including armrest covers, are removable and machine-washable.

Setup & Installation

1. Unboxing Components

Upon opening the box, you will find the main booster seat components, including the backrest, seat base, armrests, and cup holders. These parts are designed for easy assembly.

2. Attaching Armrests and Cup Holders

The armrests and cup holders easily attach to the seat base. The cup holders are made of a flexible silicone material, allowing them to be pushed in for space-saving or pulled out for use. They are also removable for cleaning.

3. Assembling High-Back Booster

To assemble the high-back booster, align the backrest with the seat base and firmly push until it clicks into place. Ensure a secure connection before proceeding.

4. Installing in Vehicle (High-Back Mode)

The KidFit booster seat features SuperCinch LATCH connectors for secure installation. Locate the LATCH anchors in your vehicle's seat. Attach the booster's LATCH connectors to the vehicle anchors and pull the one-pull tightener strap to secure the seat firmly. Ensure there is no more than 1 inch of movement side-to-side or front-to-back.

5. Adjusting Headrest Height

The DuoZone head and shoulder protection can be adjusted to 10 different positions to grow with your child. Use the adjustment handle at the back of the headrest to raise or lower it, ensuring the shoulder belt guide is at or above your child's shoulders and their ears are below the top of the headrest.

6. Converting to Backless Booster

For older children, the backrest can be removed to convert the KidFit into a backless booster. This provides flexibility as your child grows and meets the minimum height and weight requirements for backless booster use.

Operating Instructions

1. Securing Your Child

Once the booster seat is installed, guide the vehicle's lap and shoulder belt through the designated belt guides. Ensure the lap belt is low on the hips, touching the child's thighs, and the shoulder belt rests across the center of the child's chest and shoulder, not on the neck or face.

2. Using Collapsible Cup Holders

The KidFit includes two space-saving cup holders. These can be extended for use or pushed inwards to save space when not needed. They are also removable for easy cleaning in a dishwasher.

Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and hygiene of your booster seat:

• Fabrics: Hand wash fabrics using mild soap and water, or machine wash in cold water on a delicate cycle using mild detergent; hang to dry.
• Foam Insert: The foam insert may be hand rinsed; hang to dry.
• Plastic Parts: For plastic parts, sponge clean using warm water and mild soap; towel dry.
• General: Do not use bleach on fabric, foam, or plastic parts.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your Chicco KidFit booster seat, please refer to the following general advice:

• Loose Installation: Ensure the SuperCinch LATCH tightener is pulled firmly. Check that the LATCH connectors are fully engaged with the vehicle's anchors. The seat should not move more than 1 inch side-to-side or front-to-back.
• Improper Belt Fit: Verify that the vehicle's lap belt is low on the child's hips and the shoulder belt is centered on the child's shoulder. Adjust the headrest height as needed to correctly position the shoulder belt guide.
• Backrest Detachment: If the backrest detaches unexpectedly, ensure it is correctly aligned and pushed firmly into the seat base until it clicks securely into place.
• Missing Parts: If any parts are missing or damaged upon unboxing, do not use the product and contact Chicco customer support immediately.
