1. Introduction

3.2 Physical Placement

3.3 Connecting Devices

The projector offers various input ports for connecting external devices. Ensure the projector is powered off before making any connections.

• HDMI Connection: Connect an HDMI cable from your source device (e.g., laptop, Blu-ray player) to the HDMI IN port on the projector.
• VGA Connection: Connect a VGA cable from your computer to the COMPUTER IN port. For audio, connect an audio cable from your computer's audio output to the AUDIO IN port.
• Composite Video Connection: For older devices, connect an RCA composite video cable to the VIDEO IN port and an RCA audio cable to the AUDIO IN port.
• Power Connection: Connect the power cord to the projector's power inlet and then to a wall outlet.

4. Operating the Projector

4.1 Powering On/Off

• Power On: Press the POWER button on the projector's control panel or remote control. The projector will initiate its startup sequence. If an RGB (15-pin) input is connected, the projector may power on automatically.
• Power Off: Press the POWER button twice. The projector will enter a cooling down phase before completely shutting off. Do not unplug the power cord until the cooling fan stops.

4.2 Source Selection

To select an input source, press the SOURCE button on the control panel or remote control. Use the arrow keys to navigate through the available inputs (HDMI, Computer, Video) and press ENTER to confirm your selection.

4.3 Adjusting the Image

• Focus: Rotate the focus ring on the projector lens until the image appears sharp and clear.
• Zoom: Adjust the zoom ring on the projector lens to increase or decrease the image size.
• Keystone Correction: If the image appears trapezoidal, use the keystone correction function (usually found in the OSD menu or via dedicated buttons on the remote) to square the image.
• Wall Color Correction: Access the OSD menu to enable or adjust the wall color correction feature. This optimizes image colors when projecting onto non-white surfaces, such as a blackboard.

4.4 On-Screen Display (OSD) Menu

Press the MENU button to access the On-Screen Display. Use the arrow keys to navigate through menu options and ENTER to select. The OSD allows adjustment of various settings including picture mode, brightness, contrast, color, aspect ratio, and advanced features.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the Projector

• Exterior: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior of the projector. For stubborn dirt, dampen the cloth slightly with water and a mild detergent, then wipe dry.
• Lens: Gently wipe the lens with a lens cleaning cloth or lens paper. Avoid using abrasive materials or excessive force.
• Filter-Free Design: The NP-VE303X features a filter-free design, eliminating the need for regular air filter cleaning or replacement, which reduces maintenance effort.

5.2 Lamp Replacement

• Image is Distorted (Trapezoid):
  • Use the keystone correction function to adjust the image geometry.
  • Reposition the projector to be perpendicular to the screen if possible.
• No Sound:
  • Check the audio cable connection (if using VGA or composite video).
  • Ensure the volume on both the projector and the source device is turned up and not muted.
  • If using HDMI, verify that the source device is sending audio via HDMI.
• Projector Overheats and Shuts Down:
  • Ensure ventilation openings are not blocked.
