Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective use of your UpBright 12V AC/DC Adapter. This adapter is designed to provide power and charge compatible devices, specifically various Power On Board Vector jump starters and air compressors. Please read this manual thoroughly before use and retain it for future reference.
Safety Information
Always observe the following safety precautions to prevent injury or damage to the adapter or connected devices:
- Ensure the adapter's input voltage (100-240VAC, 50/60Hz) matches your power outlet specifications.
- Do not expose the adapter to water, moisture, or extreme temperatures.
- Avoid dropping or subjecting the adapter to strong impacts.
- Do not attempt to open or modify the adapter. Refer all servicing to qualified personnel.
- Disconnect the adapter from the power source when not in use or during electrical storms.
- The adapter features OVP (Over Voltage Output Protection), OCP (Over Current Output Protection), and SCP (Short Circuit Output Protection) for enhanced safety.
Product Overview
The UpBright 12V AC/DC Adapter is a switching power supply designed for reliable charging. It provides a stable 12V DC output at 0.75A to 1.0A (750mA to 1000mA).

Setup
- Verify Compatibility: Ensure your device requires a 12V DC input and has a compatible barrel round connector. This adapter is compatible with various Power On Board Vector jump starters and air compressors, including models such as VEC012APM, VECO12POB, VECO21STC, VEC12APCL, and VEC184 series rechargeable spotlights.
- Connect to Device: Insert the barrel round connector of the adapter firmly into the charging port of your compatible device.
- Connect to Power Outlet: Plug the AC prongs of the adapter into a standard 100-240VAC wall outlet.
Operating
Once connected, the adapter will begin to supply power or charge your device. Most compatible devices will have an indicator light to show charging status (e.g., red for charging, green for fully charged).
- Allow sufficient time for your device to charge fully. Charging times vary depending on the device's battery capacity and current charge level.
- The adapter is designed for continuous use during charging, but it is recommended to disconnect it once the device is fully charged to conserve energy.
Maintenance
- Keep the adapter clean and free from dust. Use a dry, soft cloth for cleaning.
- Store the adapter in a cool, dry place when not in use.
- Avoid wrapping the cable too tightly around the adapter to prevent damage to the wiring.
Troubleshooting
- Device not charging:
- Ensure the adapter is securely plugged into both the wall outlet and the device.
- Verify the wall outlet is functional by testing it with another appliance.
- Check the device's charging port for any obstructions or damage.
- If the device's rechargeable battery is old or faulty (typically lasting 1 to 3 years), it may no longer accept a charge. This is a battery issue, not an adapter malfunction.
- Adapter feels warm:
- It is normal for the adapter to become slightly warm during operation. If it becomes excessively hot or emits smoke/odor, immediately disconnect it from the power source and discontinue use.
