Setup
1. Charging the Battery
The device comes with a built-in rechargeable battery. For first-time use, it is recommended to fully charge the battery.
- Connect the provided power adapter to the DC IN port on the device.
- Plug the power adapter into a standard 220V AC power outlet.
- The charging indicator (refer to device LEDs) will illuminate.
- Once fully charged, the indicator may change color or turn off. Disconnect the power adapter.
A full charge provides approximately 6 hours of playback time.
2. Powering On/Off
Press and hold the Power button (usually marked with a circle and vertical line) located on the top panel to turn the device ON or OFF.
Operating Instructions
1. Bluetooth Mode
The device supports Bluetooth 4.0 with a range of up to 10 meters.
- Turn on the Schneider Groove HD SC550SPK. It will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode (indicated by a flashing Bluetooth LED, if available).
- On your smartphone or other Bluetooth-enabled device, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
- Select "SC550SPK" (or similar name) from the list of found devices.
- Once paired, the device will confirm with an audible tone or a solid Bluetooth LED. You can now play audio from your connected device.
To disconnect, disable Bluetooth on your source device or turn off the SC550SPK.
2. FM Radio Mode
The device features a digital PLL FM tuner with 30 memory presets.
- Press the Mode button (if available, or cycle through modes) until FM radio mode is selected.
- For automatic station scanning and saving: Press and hold the Play/Pause button (or dedicated scan button). The radio will scan and save available stations to presets.
- To manually tune or select presets: Use the Previous/Next buttons (usually marked with arrows) to navigate through frequencies or saved presets.
Note: The device does not have a display for showing the selected radio dial. Tuning is done by ear or through preset navigation.
3. USB Playback and Charging
The USB port on the device supports MP3 playback from a USB drive and also functions as a charging port for external devices (5V - 1A).
- For MP3 Playback: Insert a USB flash drive containing MP3 audio files into the USB port. The device should automatically switch to USB mode and begin playback. Use the Previous/Next buttons to skip tracks and the Play/Pause button to control playback.
- For Charging External Devices: Connect your smartphone or other USB-powered device to the USB port using a compatible USB cable. The SC550SPK will provide 5V/1A power to charge your device.
4. Auxiliary Input (AUX-IN)
Connect external audio sources like MP3 players, CD players, or computers using the provided 3.5mm audio cable.
- Connect one end of the 3.5mm audio cable to the AUX IN port on the SC550SPK.
- Connect the other end to the headphone jack or audio output of your external device.
- The device should automatically switch to AUX mode, or you may need to press the Mode button to select it.
- Control playback and volume from your external audio source.
5. Volume Control
Use the Volume Up (+) and Volume Down (-) buttons on the top panel to adjust the playback volume.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the device. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the device regularly, even if not in use.
