6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your kettle.

6.1. Cleaning the Exterior

  • Always unplug the kettle and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  • Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
  • Ensure the power base and cord remain dry.

6.2. Cleaning the Interior and Limescale Filter

  • Descaling: Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may build up inside the kettle, especially in hard water areas. To descale, fill the kettle with a mixture of one part white vinegar and two parts water. Boil the mixture and let it stand for at least 30 minutes, or longer for heavy buildup. Empty the kettle and rinse thoroughly with fresh water several times.
  • Alternatively, use a commercial descaling solution designed for kettles, following the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Filter Cleaning: The removable limescale filter can be detached for cleaning. Rinse it under running water and gently brush away any deposits. Ensure it is properly re-inserted before using the kettle.
