Setup Instructions

- Slide the cover down and lift it off.
- Insert two (2) AA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals match the diagrams inside the compartment.
- Replace the battery compartment cover by sliding it back into place until it clicks securely.
Note: Always use fresh batteries for optimal performance. If the remote is not used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
2. Programming Your Remote
The Insignia NS-RMT415 can be programmed to control up to four devices. There are typically two methods for programming: Direct Code Entry and Auto Code Search.
Direct Code Entry (Recommended)
This method requires a specific 3 or 4-digit code for your device's brand. A list of codes is usually provided in the full user manual (not included here) or can be found on the Insignia support website.
- Turn on the device you wish to program (e.g., TV, DVD player).
- Press and hold the desired device button (TV, DVD, STB, or STREAM) for approximately 3 seconds until the red indicator light illuminates and remains lit.
- Enter the 3 or 4-digit code for your device's brand using the number keys.
- If the code is valid, the indicator light will turn off. Test the remote by pressing the POWER button. If the device turns off, the programming was successful.
- If the device does not respond, repeat the process with another code from the list for your brand.
Auto Code Search
If you cannot find a code or prefer not to use direct entry, the remote can search for the correct code automatically.
- Turn on the device you wish to program.
- Press and hold the desired device button (TV, DVD, STB, or STREAM) for approximately 3 seconds until the red indicator light illuminates and remains lit.
- While the indicator light is lit, press the POWER button once. The indicator light will flash, indicating it is searching.
- Point the remote at your device and repeatedly press the CH+ (Channel Up) button slowly, pausing briefly after each press. The remote sends a different power code with each press.
- When your device turns off, immediately press the OK button to save the code. The indicator light will turn off.
- Test the remote's functions (e.g., volume, channel). If all functions work, programming is complete. If not, repeat the auto code search process.
Operating Instructions
Once programmed, select the desired device by pressing its corresponding button (TV, DVD, STB, or STREAM) before issuing commands. The indicator light will briefly flash to confirm the device selection.
