2. Safety Information

4. Installation Instructions

Tools Required: Phillips head screwdriver, flathead screwdriver, wire strippers, electrical tape, safety glasses.

  1. Turn Off Power: Locate the circuit breaker or fuse box that controls the power to the light fixture location. Turn off the power completely to prevent electrical shock.
  2. Remove Old Fixture (if applicable): Carefully remove any existing light fixture. Disconnect the wiring and remove the mounting bracket.
  3. Prepare Wiring: Ensure that the electrical wires from the junction box are stripped approximately 1/2 inch (1.27 cm) at the ends.
  4. Mounting Bracket Installation: Attach the fixture's mounting bracket to the junction box in the ceiling using the provided screws. Ensure it is securely fastened.
  5. Wire Connections:
    • Connect the black wire from the fixture to the black (hot) wire from the junction box using a wire nut.
    • Connect the white wire from the fixture to the white (neutral) wire from the junction box using a wire nut.
    • Connect the green or bare copper (ground) wire from the fixture to the green or bare copper (ground) wire from the junction box using a wire nut.
    • Ensure all wire nuts are tightened securely and no bare wire is exposed. Wrap electrical tape around each wire nut connection for added security.
  6. Secure Fixture: Carefully tuck all wires into the junction box. Align the fixture with the mounting bracket and secure it in place using the provided screws or twist-lock mechanism, depending on the design. Ensure the fixture is flush with the ceiling.
  7. Restore Power: Once the fixture is securely installed and all connections are checked, restore power at the circuit breaker or fuse box.
  8. Test Fixture: Turn on the light switch to test the new fixture.

5. Operating Instructions

This Sunlite LED fixture operates like a standard light fixture. Simply use your wall switch to turn it on or off.

Dimming Functionality: This fixture is dimmable. To utilize the dimming feature, ensure you have a compatible LED-rated dimmer switch installed on your wall. Follow the dimmer switch manufacturer's instructions for proper operation.
