5.2 Temperature Adjustment

Use the rotary knob on the control panel to set the desired temperature. The LED display will show the set temperature and then the actual tip temperature as it heats up or cools down. You can switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F) using the toggle switch below the knob.

5.3 Soldering Techniques

Ensure the soldering tip is clean and tinned before each use. Apply a small amount of solder to the tip to improve heat transfer. Place the heated tip onto the joint to be soldered, then apply solder to the joint itself, not directly to the iron. Allow the solder to flow smoothly and evenly. Remove the iron and allow the joint to cool naturally.

5.4 10 Minute Sleep Feature

The soldering station is equipped with a 10-minute sleep timer. If the iron is not moved for 10 minutes, the unit will automatically reduce the tip temperature to a lower, safe temperature to prevent oxidation and prolong tip life. Moving the iron will instantly bring it back to the set operating temperature.

6. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your soldering station.

6.1 Tip Cleaning

Regularly clean the soldering tip to remove excess solder and oxidation. Use the brass sponge for dry cleaning, which helps preserve the tip's plating. For more thorough cleaning, use the wet sponge (ensure it is damp, not soaking wet) to wipe the tip. Always re-tin the tip with a small amount of fresh solder after cleaning.
