Important Safety Instructions

- Do not use with damaged cord or plug. If appliance is not working as it should, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water, return it to a service center.
- Do not pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle, close a door on cord, or pull cord around sharp edges or corners. Do not run appliance over cord. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
- Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.
- Do not handle plug or vacuum cleaner with wet hands.
- Do not put any object into openings. Do not use with any opening blocked; keep free of dust, lint, hair, and anything that may reduce airflow.
- Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body away from openings and moving parts.
- Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches, or hot ashes.
- Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible liquids, such as gasoline, or use in areas where they may be present.
- Do not use without dust cup and/or filters in place.
- Turn off all controls before unplugging.
- Use extra care when cleaning on stairs.

Assembly
Your Electrolux Precision Upright Vacuum comes partially assembled. Follow these steps to complete the assembly:
- Attach the Handle: Insert the handle assembly into the main vacuum body until it clicks securely into place. Ensure the handle is firmly seated.
- Connect the Hose: Attach the deluxe stretch hose to the hose inlet port on the main body. Twist or push until it locks.
- Store Accessories: Place the 3-in-1 Versa Tool and any other included accessories into their designated storage slots on the vacuum.
Ensure all connections are secure before operating the vacuum cleaner.
Operating Instructions
Powering On and Off
- Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.
- Press the power button located on the main body or handle to turn the vacuum ON or OFF.
Adjusting Floor Type Settings
The vacuum features adjustable height settings for optimal cleaning on different surfaces.

- Locate the floor type selector on the vacuum head.
- Select the appropriate setting:
- Hard Floor: For bare floors, tile, and hardwood. The brushroll may stop or spin at a lower speed.
- Low Pile Carpet: For short-pile carpets and rugs.
- High Pile Carpet: For thicker carpets and rugs.
Using the Quick-Release Wand and Attachments
The quick-release wand and deluxe stretch hose allow for extended reach cleaning.

- Press the quick-release button on the handle to detach the wand.
- Attach the desired 3-in-1 Versa Tool or other accessory to the end of the wand or directly to the hose.
- Use the tool to clean upholstery, crevices, corners, or stairs.
- When finished, remove the attachment and reinsert the wand into the vacuum body until it clicks.
Maintenance
Emptying the Dust Cup
Empty the dust cup after each use or when the "Full" indicator is visible to maintain optimal suction.
- Ensure the vacuum is unplugged.
- Press the dust cup release button and lift the dust cup away from the vacuum body.
- Position the dust cup over a trash receptacle.
- Press the bottom release latch to open the dust cup and empty its contents.
- Close the dust cup bottom securely and reattach the dust cup to the vacuum until it clicks.
Brushroll Clean Technology
The exclusive Brushroll Clean Technology removes tangled hair from the brushroll automatically.

- Ensure the vacuum is plugged in and powered ON.
- With the vacuum in the upright position, gently press the Brushroll Clean pedal (usually located near the brushroll housing) with your foot.
- Hold the pedal down for approximately 5-10 seconds. The brushroll will engage a cleaning mechanism.
- Release the pedal. Tangled hair should now be cut and deposited into the dust cup.
Note: For stubborn tangles, manual cleaning may still be required. Always unplug the vacuum before manual brushroll inspection or cleaning.

Cleaning Filters
Regularly clean the filters to maintain suction performance and air quality. The vacuum uses a washable HEPA filter.
- Ensure the vacuum is unplugged.
- Remove the dust cup. The primary filter (often a cyclonic cone filter) is usually located inside or directly below the dust cup.
- Remove the HEPA filter, typically located in a separate compartment, often at the back or side of the vacuum. Refer to your specific model's diagram for exact location.
- Tap loose dirt from filters over a trash can.
- Rinse washable filters under cool running water until the water runs clear. Do not use detergent.
- Allow filters to air dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinserting. Do not use a dryer or other heating methods.
- Reinstall all filters and the dust cup.
