4. Setup
4.1 Battery Installation
- Open the battery cover on the back of the device.
- Insert two AAA batteries according to the polarity indicators (+/-) inside the compartment.
- Close the battery cover securely.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Taking a Measurement
- Ensure batteries are correctly installed.
- Open the clamp of the oximeter.
- Insert one finger into the rubber opening of the oximeter, ensuring the finger is placed correctly under the LED lights.
- Release the clamp.
- Press the power button once to turn on the oximeter.

- Keep your hand still during the measurement. Readings for SpO2 and Pulse Rate will appear on the display within seconds.
- The device will automatically power off after 8 seconds of inactivity.
5.2 Understanding the Display
The display shows your Blood Oxygen Saturation (SpO2%) and Pulse Rate (PRbpm). A plethysmograph wave indicates the blood flow through the vessels. If the wave amplitude is low, it suggests insufficient blood perfusion for a reliable reading. In such cases, reposition your finger and retake the measurement.
5.3 Display Rotation
The Zacurate 500E features a dual-color OLED rotatable display. Press the power button briefly during operation to cycle through 6 different display layout options, allowing for convenient viewing from various angles.

6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
- Clean the surface of the oximeter before and after each use with a soft cloth dampened with medical alcohol (70% isopropyl alcohol).
- Do not immerse the device in water or other cleaning solutions.
- Ensure the device is completely dry before reuse.
6.2 Storage
- Store the oximeter in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and humidity.
- If the device will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
6.3 Battery Replacement
Replace the batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the display. Always use new AAA batteries and dispose of old batteries responsibly.
