3.1. Connect to your TV

  1. Locate an available HDMI port on your HDTV. Note the HDMI input number (e.g., HDMI 1, HDMI 2).
  2. Plug your Roku Streaming Stick directly into the HDMI port. If space is limited, an HDMI extender cable may be used (available from Roku support).

3.2. Power On

  1. Insert the two AAA batteries into your Point Anywhere Remote. Look for a flashing pairing light on the remote.
  2. Connect the power adapter to your Roku Streaming Stick and then plug the adapter into a wall outlet. For consistent power, always use the included power adapter.
  3. Turn on your TV and select the HDMI input where your Roku Streaming Stick is connected. The Roku logo should appear on your screen.

3.3. Remote Pairing

Your Point Anywhere Remote should automatically pair with your Roku Streaming Stick. If it does not, open the battery compartment and press and hold the pairing button for 5 seconds until the pairing light flashes.

3.4. Network Connection

  1. Follow the on-screen prompts to select your wireless network from the list.
  2. Enter your network password. Passwords are case-sensitive.
  3. Your Roku Streaming Stick will connect to your network and the internet.

3.5. Software Update

Your Roku Streaming Stick will automatically download and install the latest software updates. This process may take a few minutes, and the device will restart automatically once complete.

3.6. Activate Your Roku Player

  1. On your TV screen, you will see a link code.
  2. On a computer, phone, or tablet, go to roku.com/link.
  3. Enter the link code displayed on your TV.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to create a new Roku account or sign in to an existing one. You may be asked to provide payment information for future purchases, but you will not be charged without explicit consent.
  5. Once activated, your Roku Streaming Stick will update with your selected channels.
