Important Safeguards

Setup and First Use
- Before first use, wash the nonstick cooking pot, lid, rice rinser/steam basket, rice measuring cup, and rice paddle in hot, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
- Wipe the exterior of the rice cooker base with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the base in water.
- Place the rice cooker on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface away from walls and cabinets.
- Ensure the cooking pot is properly seated in the heating plate.
Operating Instructions
Cooking Rice and Grains
Use the provided rice measuring cup for accurate measurements. One rice measuring cup is approximately 3/4 cup (U.S. standard measuring cup).
- Measure the desired amount of uncooked rice using the provided rice measuring cup.
- For best results and to prevent clumping, rinse rice in cold water using the 2-in-1 rice rinser/steam basket until water runs clear.
- Place the rinsed rice into the nonstick cooking pot.
- Add water according to the Rice/Water Measurement Table below, or to the corresponding water line inside the cooking pot.
- Place the cooking pot into the rice cooker base and close the lid.
- Plug the rice cooker into a standard electrical outlet.
- Press the "SELECT MODE" button to choose your desired cooking setting (e.g., White Rice, Quick Rice, Whole Grain). The indicator light for the selected mode will illuminate.
- Press "START/WARM" to begin cooking. The display will show a countdown timer.
- Once cooking is complete, the rice cooker will automatically switch to the "WARM" setting.
- Allow rice to rest on "WARM" for 5-10 minutes before serving for optimal texture.

Steaming Food
The 2-in-1 rice rinser/steam basket allows for steaming vegetables, seafood, or poultry.
- Add water to the cooking pot (refer to recipes for specific amounts).
- Place the food to be steamed into the steam basket.
- Place the steam basket into the cooking pot.
- Close the lid.
- Press the "SELECT MODE" button until "Steam Cook" is selected.
- Press "COOK TIME" and use the "HOUR" and "MIN" buttons to set the desired steaming time.
- Press "START/WARM" to begin steaming.

Delay Start Feature
The delay start feature allows you to program cooking up to 11 hours in advance.
- Prepare ingredients as usual (rice and water, or steaming items).
- Press the "DELAY TIME" button.
- Use the "HOUR" and "MIN" buttons to set the desired delay time.
- Press "START/WARM". The cooker will begin cooking after the set delay time has elapsed.

Maintenance and Cleaning
Proper cleaning ensures the longevity and performance of your rice cooker.
- Always unplug the rice cooker from the outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Remove the nonstick cooking pot, lid, rice rinser/steam basket, rice measuring cup, and rice paddle.
- Wash these removable parts in warm, soapy water. They are also dishwasher safe.
- Wipe the exterior of the rice cooker base with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Never immerse the rice cooker base, cord, or plug in water or any other liquid.
- Ensure all parts are completely dry before storing or next use.
