Product Overview
The Fellowes Aeramax 290 is designed to improve air quality in rooms up to 290 square feet. It features a multi-stage filtration system including a HEPA filter and an activated carbon filter.

Components and Controls:
- Air Intake: Located on the sides, draws in room air.
- Air Outlet: Located at the top, releases purified air.

Setup
- Unpack the Unit: Carefully remove the air purifier from its packaging. Retain packaging for future transport or storage.
- Install Filters:
- Open the front cover of the air purifier.
- Remove all protective plastic packaging from the HEPA filter and the Carbon filter.
- Insert the Carbon filter first, followed by the HEPA filter, ensuring they are seated correctly.
- Close the front cover securely.
- Placement: Place the air purifier on a firm, level surface. Ensure there is at least 6 inches (15 cm) of space around the unit for optimal airflow. Avoid placing it directly against walls or furniture.
- Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet.
Operating Instructions
- Power On/Off: Press the Power Button once to turn the unit on. Press it again to turn the unit off.
- Adjust Fan Speed: Press the Fan Speed Button repeatedly to cycle through fan speeds: Low, Medium, High, Turbo. The corresponding indicator light will illuminate.
- Auto Mode: Press the Auto Mode Button to activate Auto Mode. The unit will automatically adjust fan speed based on detected air quality.
- PlasmaWave Technology: Press the PlasmaWave Button to turn PlasmaWave on or off. PlasmaWave creates ions to help remove airborne pollutants.
- Filter Reset: After replacing a filter, press and hold the corresponding Filter Change Indicator Button for 3-5 seconds until the light resets.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your air purifier.
Filter Replacement:
- Carbon Filter: Replace approximately every 3 months, depending on usage and air quality.
- True HEPA Filter: Replace approximately every 12 months, depending on usage and air quality.
- When a filter change indicator light illuminates, it is time to replace the corresponding filter.
Cleaning the Unit:
- Always unplug the unit before cleaning.
- Wipe the exterior of the air purifier with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Periodically vacuum the pre-filter (if removable and washable) to remove large dust particles.
Troubleshooting
