Setup

1. Unpacking and Inspection

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Verify that all items listed in the packing list are present and undamaged. Report any discrepancies or damage to your supplier immediately.

2. Component Identification

The Dicentis Wireless Device Extended package typically includes:

3. Battery Installation and Charging

1. Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the device.
2. Insert the rechargeable battery pack, ensuring correct polarity.
3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.
4. Connect the USB-C charging cable to the device's charging port and to a suitable USB power adapter (not included).
5. Allow the device to charge fully before first use. The charging indicator light will change color when charging is complete.

4. Initial Connection to Wireless Access Point

For initial setup, refer to the Dicentis Wireless Access Point (DCNM-WAP) manual for pairing instructions. The DCNM-WDE will automatically attempt to connect to an available Dicentis wireless network upon power-on.

Operating Instructions

1. Powering On/Off

• To power on: Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds.
• To power off: Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds until the display turns off.

2. Participant Functions

Depending on the configuration of the Dicentis system, the device may offer various functions:

• Microphone Activation: Press the microphone button to activate/deactivate your microphone.
• Request-to-Speak: Press the request button to join the speaking queue.
• Voting: If enabled, use the designated buttons for voting (Yes/No/Abstain).
• Language Selection: If interpretation is available, use the language selection buttons to choose your preferred audio channel.

3. Display and Indicators

The device features a display that shows current status, battery level, and active functions. LED indicators provide visual feedback on microphone status, network connection, and charging.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

Clean the device regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn marks, use a slightly damp cloth with a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

2. Battery Care

To prolong battery life:

• Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
