Setup and First Use

2. Pour the solution into the water reservoir.
3. Place the empty carafe on the warming plate.
4. Start a brewing cycle. After about 1 minute, turn the coffeemaker OFF.
5. Allow the solution to soak in the coffeemaker for at least 30 minutes (or up to an hour for heavy buildup).
6. Turn the coffeemaker ON again and let the remaining solution brew through.
7. Discard the solution from the carafe.
