Setup Instructions

Step 1: Assemble the Base

Place the umbrella base in the desired location on a flat, stable surface. Ensure the base is filled with sand or water as per manufacturer recommendations to provide adequate stability. The base is designed to be filled for optimal performance.

Step 2: Attach the Umbrella Frame

Insert the main pole of the umbrella frame into the receiver on the assembled base. Secure it firmly using the provided hardware (e.g., tightening knob or bolts) to ensure a stable connection.

Step 3: Secure the Canopy

Ensure the canopy is properly attached to the frame's arms. The LED lights are integrated into the canopy and will draw power from a solar panel located at the top of the umbrella. Allow the solar panel to charge in direct sunlight for a full day before expecting the lights to function.

Operating Instructions

Opening the Umbrella

Locate the crank handle on the umbrella pole. Turn the crank handle clockwise to extend the canopy. Continue cranking until the canopy is fully open and taut. Do not over-crank.

Adjusting the Umbrella

This offset umbrella features a manual tilt mechanism and can be rotated. To tilt the canopy, locate the tilt adjustment lever or button on the frame and adjust to the desired angle. To rotate the umbrella, loosen the rotation lock (if present) and carefully pivot the canopy to the desired position, then re-secure the lock.

Closing and Securing the Umbrella

Turn the crank handle counter-clockwise to retract the canopy. Once fully closed, wrap the attached securing strap around the folded canopy and fasten it to prevent the umbrella from opening unexpectedly or being caught by wind.

Maintenance

Cleaning

• Canopy (Sunbrella Fabric): Clean with mild soap and lukewarm water. Use a soft brush to remove dirt. Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry completely before folding or storing. Do not use harsh chemicals or bleach.
• Frame: Wipe the steel frame with a damp cloth and mild soap. Dry thoroughly to prevent rust.

Storage

When not in use for extended periods or during inclement weather, close and secure the umbrella. For long-term storage, consider using a protective cover or storing the umbrella indoors in a dry, sheltered area to prolong its lifespan.

Troubleshooting

• Umbrella not opening/closing smoothly: Check for any obstructions in the mechanism or canopy fabric. Apply a silicone-based lubricant to moving parts if necessary.
• Umbrella unstable: Ensure the base is adequately weighted with sand or water. Verify all connections between the frame and base are tight.
• LED lights not working: Ensure the solar panel has received sufficient direct sunlight to charge. Check for any debris covering the solar panel.
