The alarm clock features a clear negative display, control buttons for time and alarm settings, and a Snooze/Light button typically located on the top. The battery compartment is located on the back.

Setup

1. Battery Installation

  1. Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the alarm clock.
  2. Insert two (2) AA 1.5V batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -).
  3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

2. Initial Setup and Radio Signal Reception

Upon battery insertion, the clock will automatically begin searching for the DCF-77 radio signal from Frankfurt. This process can take several minutes. During this time, the radio signal icon may flash on the display. For optimal reception, place the clock away from electronic devices that may cause interference.

3. Time Zone Setting

If you are located outside the DCF-77 signal's effective range (approximately 1500 km) or in a different time zone, you may need to adjust the time zone manually. Refer to the operating section for specific instructions on setting the time zone (typically +/- 9 hours).

Operating Instructions

1. Manual Time Setting

In cases where the radio signal is not received or desired, the time can be set manually:

2. Setting Alarms

The clock features two independent alarms (Alarm 1 and Alarm 2):

3. Snooze Function

When an alarm sounds, press the 'SNOOZE/LIGHT' button to temporarily silence the alarm. The alarm will sound again after a short interval (typically 5-10 minutes).

4. Backlight and Auto Light Function

5. Temperature Display

The clock displays the indoor temperature. To switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F), locate the '°C/°F' button or switch, usually on the back or side of the device, and press it.

6. Day of Week Language

The day of the week display supports 6 languages (German, English, Italian, French, Dutch, and Spanish). To change the language, refer to the specific language setting button or menu option in your clock's settings.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

Clean the alarm clock with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or chemical agents, as these may damage the display or casing.

2. Battery Replacement

When the display dims or the clock's functions become erratic, it is time to replace the batteries. Follow the battery installation steps outlined in the Setup section. Always replace both batteries simultaneously with new ones of the same type.
