Introduction
Thank you for choosing the Nuwave Gold Precision Induction Cooktop. This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your new appliance. Please read it thoroughly before first use and keep it for future reference.

Safety Information
Your safety is paramount. The Nuwave Gold Induction Cooktop is designed with several safety features to minimize risks associated with cooking appliances.
- Shatter-Proof Ceramic Glass: The heating surface is constructed from heavy-duty, shatter-proof ceramic glass, rigorously tested to withstand intense heat without breaking.
- No Hot Coils or Open Flames: Unlike traditional electric or gas stovetops, the induction cooktop heats the cookware directly, eliminating exposed hot coils or open flames, which significantly reduces the risk of accidental burns and fires.
- Automatic Shut-Off: For added safety, the cooktop will automatically shut off once the set cook time is completed. It will also not operate if compatible cookware is not detected on the heating surface.

Setup
Unpacking and Placement
- Carefully remove the cooktop from its packaging. Retain packaging for storage or future transport.
- Place the cooktop on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the unit (at least 4-6 inches of clear space on all sides). Do not place it on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
- Ensure the power cord is not pinched or damaged.
Power Connection
Plug the cooktop into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet. The unit is designed with three wattage settings (600, 900, and 1500 watts) to accommodate various power environments, including dorms, RVs, and cabins.

Initial Cleaning
Before first use, wipe the ceramic glass surface with a damp cloth to remove any dust or residue from manufacturing.
Operating Instructions
Cookware Compatibility
The Nuwave Gold Precision Induction Cooktop requires induction-compatible cookware. To test if your cookware is compatible, place a household magnet on the bottom of the pot or pan. If the magnet sticks securely, the cookware is induction compatible.

|---|---|
| All NuWave Cookware (uniform heat distribution) | Copper |
| Enameled iron and steel | Glass |
| Stainless steel with a magnetic base | Aluminum |
| Cast iron | Pottery type vessels |
| Carbon Steel |

Powering On and Temperature Control
- Place induction-compatible cookware with food on the cooktop surface.
- Press the 'Start' button to turn on the unit.
- Select your desired temperature. You can choose from 6 convenient preset temperature settings or fine-tune your own temperature from 100°F to 575°F in 10°F increments using the '+' and '-' buttons.
- The cooktop allows for 'on-the-fly' adjustments to temperature and time without needing to restart the cooking process.

Maintenance and Cleaning
Cleaning the Ceramic Glass Surface
Allow the cooktop to cool completely before cleaning. Wipe the ceramic glass surface with a damp cloth and mild detergent. For stubborn stains, a non-abrasive ceramic cooktop cleaner can be used. Avoid abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or harsh chemicals, as these can scratch or damage the surface.
General Care
- Do not immerse the cooktop in water or any other liquid.
- Ensure the ventilation openings are clear of obstructions.
- Store the cooktop in a dry place when not in use.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Nuwave Gold Precision Induction Cooktop, please refer to the following common troubleshooting tips:
- Cooktop Not Turning On: Ensure the unit is properly plugged into a working electrical outlet. Check if the power cord is damaged.
- Cookware Not Detected: Verify that the cookware being used is induction-compatible. The cooktop will not operate without compatible cookware placed on the heating surface.
- Error Codes: If an error code appears on the display, consult the full user manual PDF for specific meanings and solutions.
- No Heat: Confirm that the temperature setting is active and the timer (if set) has not expired.
