Setup
1. Charging the Battery
The LEFON Y618 comes with a built-in rechargeable Li-ion battery. Before first use, it is recommended to fully charge the device.
- Connect the provided USB charging cable to the DC5V port on the side of the radio.
- Connect the other end of the USB cable to a standard USB power adapter (5V/1A recommended, not included) or a computer's USB port.
- The LED display may indicate charging status. Allow sufficient time for a full charge, typically several hours.

2. Inserting Storage Media (Optional)
To play MP3 music, insert a TF card or USB disk into the designated slots.
- TF Card: Locate the TF card slot on the side of the device. Gently insert the TF card with the metal contacts facing down until it clicks into place.
- USB Disk: Locate the USB port on the side of the device. Insert your USB flash drive firmly into the port.

Operating Instructions
1. Power On/Off
- Press the Power button (
) to turn the device on or off. The LED screen will illuminate upon power-on.
2. Mode Selection
- Press the "MODE" button (often labeled "MP3" or similar, or indicated by voice prompts) to switch between FM Radio mode and MP3 Player mode (USB/TF card).
3. FM Radio Operation
- Auto-Scan:
- Press the "FM" button to ensure you are in FM radio mode. The symbol "FM" will appear on the display screen.
- Completely pull out the radio antenna.
- Long press the "SCAN" button (
) for over 3 seconds to start auto-scanning. The numbers on the display will jump quickly from 87.5. - During scanning, avoid any other operations. After 2-3 minutes, the product will finish scanning at 108. When scanning is complete, it will automatically play the first scanned channel.
- Manual Tuning: Use the number pad (1-9, 0) to directly input the desired FM frequency.
- Adjusting Antenna: For better reception, adjust the length and angle of the telescoping antenna.
4. MP3 Player Operation
- Ensure a TF card or USB disk with MP3 files is inserted.
- Press the "MP3" button to enter MP3 playback mode.
- Use the Previous (
) and Next (
) buttons to navigate between tracks. - Press the Play/Pause button (
) to play or pause the current track. - Use the Repeat/Shuffle button (
) to cycle through playback modes (e.g., repeat one, repeat all, shuffle).
5. Volume Control
- Use the dedicated Volume Up and Volume Down buttons (often integrated with Previous/Next or separate buttons) to adjust the audio level.
6. Timing Shutdown Function (Sleep Timer)
- Press the Timer button (
) repeatedly to set the desired auto-off time (e.g., 15, 30, 60, 120, 240 minutes). The radio will automatically turn off after the set time.

7. Key Lock Function
- Press the Lock button (
) to lock the control buttons, preventing accidental operations. Press it again to unlock.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the device. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the radio in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Recharge the device regularly, even if not in constant use.

- Completely pull out the radio antenna, then long press button "SCAN" for over 3 seconds and stop, the numbers on the display screen will jump up quickly from 87.5, which means the FM radio is Auto-scanning channels and during this time you should not do any other operations. After 2-3 minutes, the product will finish scanning at 108. When finish scanning, it will automatically turn back to play the first channel.
