Setup
- Attaching the Legs: Carefully turn the turntable unit upside down. Align each leg with the designated mounting points on the bottom of the unit. Securely screw each leg into place until firm. Ensure all four legs are stable before uprighting the unit.
- Power Connection: Connect the supplied power adapter to the '9V-DC-IN' port on the rear of the turntable. Plug the other end into a suitable wall outlet.
- External Audio Connections (Optional):
- Line Out: To connect to an external amplifier or powered speakers, use RCA cables (not included) to connect the 'LINE OUT' ports on the turntable to the corresponding input on your audio system.
- Ear Out: For private listening, plug headphones into the 'EAR OUT' jack on the rear panel.
Operating Instructions
Playing a Record
- Open the turntable lid.
- Place a record on the platter. If playing a 45-RPM single, place the 45-RPM adaptor over the center spindle.
- Select the correct speed (33, 45, or 78 RPM) using the speed selector switch.
- Gently lift the tonearm using the cueing lever and position the stylus over the desired track on the record.
- Lower the tonearm slowly using the cueing lever. The record will begin to play.
- Adjust the volume using the 'VOLUME' knob on the front panel.
- The turntable features an auto-stop function. When the record finishes, the platter will stop rotating automatically. To stop playback manually, lift the tonearm and return it to its rest.
USB Recording
The GPO Bermuda allows you to convert your vinyl records into digital audio files via USB.
- Connect the turntable to your computer using a USB cable (not included) via the 'USB' port on the rear.
- Install appropriate recording software on your computer (e.g., Audacity, available online).
- Follow the software's instructions to set up the turntable as an input device and begin recording.
- Play your record as described above while recording is active on your computer.
Bluetooth Connectivity
Stream music wirelessly to the turntable's built-in speakers from a compatible Bluetooth device.
- Turn on the turntable and select the Bluetooth input mode (refer to front panel controls). The Bluetooth indicator light will flash.
- Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone, tablet, or other compatible device.
- Search for available devices and select "GPO Bermuda" from the list.
- Once paired, the Bluetooth indicator light will become solid. You can now play audio from your device through the turntable's speakers.
Maintenance
Cleaning the Unit
- Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- For the platter, use a soft, lint-free cloth.
Stylus Care
- The stylus is a delicate component. Handle with care.
- Clean the stylus regularly using a soft brush, brushing gently from back to front.
- Replace the stylus approximately every 300-500 hours of playback, or if you notice a degradation in sound quality. Consult GPO for replacement stylus information.
Troubleshooting
