Setup
Setting the Time
- Pull out the crown: Locate the small knob (crown) on the right side of the watch case. Gently pull it outwards until you feel a click. The second hand may stop moving.
- Adjust the time: Rotate the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to move the hour and minute hands to the correct time.
- Push in the crown: Once the time is set, push the crown back into its original position. The second hand will resume movement (if it stopped).
Adjusting the Strap
The textile strap features a traditional pin buckle for adjustment. To adjust the strap:
- Insert the pin of the buckle into one of the holes on the strap that provides a comfortable and secure fit around the wrist.
- Ensure the watch is not too tight, which could restrict circulation, or too loose, which could cause it to slide around.
Operating Instructions
Reading the Time
The watch features an analog display with hour, minute, and second hands. The dial has clear Arabic numerals for hours 1 through 12, making it easy to read the time.
- The short hand indicates the hour.
- The long hand indicates the minute.
- The thin sweeping hand indicates the seconds.
Maintenance
General Care
- Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures (hot or cold) or sudden temperature changes.
- Keep the watch away from strong magnetic fields, as these can affect the accuracy of the quartz movement.
- Clean the watch case and glass with a soft, dry cloth. For the textile strap, a damp cloth with mild soap can be used, but ensure it dries completely to prevent odor or damage.
- Avoid contact with chemicals such as solvents, detergents, perfumes, and cosmetics, as they may damage the case, strap, or seals.
Water Resistance
This watch has a water resistance rating of 3 Bar (30 meters / 100 feet). This means it is resistant to splashes and brief immersion in water, such as during hand washing or light rain. It is not designed for showering, bathing, swimming, or diving. Prolonged exposure to water or submersion will void the warranty and may damage the watch.
Battery Replacement
The watch is powered by a 377/1 type battery. When the watch stops or the second hand begins to jump erratically (indicating low battery), it is time for a battery replacement. It is recommended to have the battery replaced by a qualified watch technician to ensure the water resistance seal is properly maintained.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Watch has stopped or is running slow. | Low battery. | Replace the battery (Type 377/1). It is recommended to have this done by a professional. |
| Time is incorrect. | Crown is pulled out; time was not set correctly; watch was exposed to strong magnetic fields. | Ensure the crown is pushed in. Reset the time as per "Setting the Time" instructions. Keep watch away from magnets. |
| Condensation under the glass. | Exposure to extreme temperature changes or water ingress. | Immediately take the watch to a qualified watch technician for inspection and repair to prevent further damage. Avoid further water exposure. |
