2. Safety Information

4. Setup and Assembly

Assembly requires two adults. Clear a spacious area for assembly. Do not use power tools for assembly as they may overtighten fasteners and damage the wood.

1. Unpack all components and hardware. Place them on a soft, clean surface to prevent scratches.
2. Attach the crib side rails to the headboard and footboard using the provided hardware. Ensure all bolts are securely tightened.
3. Install the mattress support spring. The mattress support has three adjustable height positions. For newborns, the highest position is recommended. Lower the mattress support as your child grows and becomes more active.

5. Conversion Instructions

The Simmons Kids SlumberTime Rowen crib converts into a toddler bed, daybed, and full-size bed. Follow the instructions below for each conversion.

5.1. Crib to Toddler Bed Conversion

• Remove one of the crib side rails.
• Attach the Toddler Guardrail (#180125, sold separately) to the headboard and footboard in place of the removed side rail.
• Ensure all connections are secure.

5.2. Crib to Daybed Conversion

• Remove one of the crib side rails.
• Attach the included Daybed Rail to the headboard and footboard in place of the removed side rail.
• Ensure all connections are secure.

5.3. Crib to Full-Size Bed Conversion

• Remove both crib side rails and the mattress support spring.
• Attach the Full Size Bed Rails (#700850, sold separately) to the headboard and footboard.
• Place a full-size mattress and box spring (not included) onto the bed rails.
• Ensure all connections are secure.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Mattress Height Adjustment

The crib features a 3-position mattress height adjustment. This allows you to lower the mattress as your baby grows and becomes more mobile, ensuring their safety.

1. Highest Position: For newborns and infants who cannot push up on their hands and knees.
2. Middle Position: For babies who can push up on their hands and knees.
3. Lowest Position: For babies who can sit up or stand.

To adjust the mattress height, carefully remove the mattress and mattress support. Reattach the mattress support to the desired height using the appropriate hardware and attachment points on the crib end panels. Ensure all fasteners are securely tightened before placing the mattress back into the crib.
