3. Setup
3.1 Power Connection
- Locate the AC Power Adapter included in the package.
- Connect the small end of the AC Power Adapter to the DC IN port on the back of the sound bar.
- Plug the other end of the AC Power Adapter into a standard wall outlet (AC 100-240V, 50/60Hz).
- The sound bar will enter standby mode.
3.2 Audio Connections
The SC-1416SB offers multiple ways to connect your audio sources.
3.2.1 Bluetooth Connection
- Power on the sound bar.
- Press the MODE button on the sound bar or remote control until "BT" (Bluetooth) mode is selected. The Bluetooth indicator will flash.
- Enable Bluetooth on your audio device (smartphone, tablet, etc.).
- Search for "SC-1416SB" in your device's Bluetooth settings.
- Select "SC-1416SB" to pair. Once paired, the Bluetooth indicator will stop flashing and remain solid.
- You can now play audio from your device through the sound bar.
3.2.2 Optical Connection
For high-quality digital audio from your TV or other devices.
- Connect an optical audio cable (not included) from the OPTICAL OUT port on your TV/device to the OPTICAL IN port on the sound bar.
- Press the MODE button on the sound bar or remote control until "OPT" (Optical) mode is selected.
- Ensure your TV's audio output is set to "Optical" or "PCM" format.
3.2.3 Auxiliary (AUX) Connection
For connecting devices with a 3.5mm audio output.
- Connect a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) from the headphone jack or AUX OUT port of your device to the AUX IN port on the sound bar.
- Press the MODE button on the sound bar or remote control until "AUX" mode is selected.
3.2.4 USB Playback
Play music directly from a USB flash drive.
- Insert a USB flash drive containing MP3 audio files into the USB port on the sound bar.
- Press the MODE button on the sound bar or remote control until "USB" mode is selected.
- The sound bar will automatically begin playing audio files from the USB drive.
3.2.5 SD Card Playback
Play music directly from an SD memory card.
- Insert an SD card containing MP3 audio files into the SD card slot on the sound bar.
- Press the MODE button on the sound bar or remote control until "SD" mode is selected.
- The sound bar will automatically begin playing audio files from the SD card.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Basic Controls
The sound bar can be controlled using the buttons on the unit or the included remote control.
- POWER Button: Press to turn the sound bar ON or OFF.
- MODE Button: Press to cycle through input modes (Bluetooth, Optical, AUX, USB, SD, FM).
- VOL+ / VOL- Buttons: Press to increase or decrease the volume level.
- PLAY/PAUSE Button: In Bluetooth, USB, or SD mode, press to play or pause audio.
- PREV / NEXT Buttons: In Bluetooth, USB, or SD mode, press to skip to the previous or next track. In FM mode, press to tune to the previous or next station.
4.2 FM Radio Operation
- Press the MODE button until "FM" mode is selected.
- Press and hold the PLAY/PAUSE button to automatically scan and save available FM stations.
- Use the PREV / NEXT buttons to navigate through the saved stations.
