Operating Instructions
First Use
During the first use, a slight odor or smoke may occur as manufacturing residues burn off. This is normal and will dissipate quickly. Ensure the area is well-ventilated.
General Operation
- Connect to Power: Plug the power cord into a suitable wall outlet (230V). The indicator light on the thermostat knob will illuminate.
- Preheating: Turn the thermostat knob to the desired temperature setting (MIN to MAX). Allow the appliance to preheat for approximately 10-15 minutes. The indicator light may cycle on and off, indicating the heating element is maintaining the set temperature.
- Cooking on Grill Plate: For grilling meats, poultry, and vegetables, place food directly onto the preheated grill plate. For best results, lightly brush food with oil or use a non-stick spray.
- Cooking on Granite Stone: For raclette, delicate items, or slower cooking, place food onto the preheated granite stone. The stone provides even heat distribution and retains heat well. A small amount of oil can be used, but is often not necessary.
- Adjust Temperature: Adjust the thermostat knob as needed during cooking to achieve desired results.
- After Cooking: Once cooking is complete, turn the thermostat knob to the "OFF" position and unplug the appliance from the wall outlet. Allow the unit to cool completely before cleaning.
