1. Product Overview
This manual provides instructions for the UPBRIGHT 15V 1A AC/DC Adapter, designed to power and charge compatible BoltPower 12V Mini Portable Jump Starters. The adapter features a wide input voltage range (100-240VAC, 50/60Hz) and incorporates safety protections including Over Voltage Protection (OVP), Over Current Protection (OCP), and Short Circuit Protection (SCP).
The adapter delivers a stable 15V DC output at 1000mA (1A), ensuring efficient and safe charging for your device.

2. Setup
- Inspect the Adapter: Before use, visually inspect the adapter and its cable for any signs of damage. Do not use if damaged.
- Verify Compatibility: Ensure your BoltPower jump starter requires a 15V DC input and has a compatible charging port. This adapter is designed for BoltPower G06, G06C, D28, D28A, D28U, D29, and K3 models.
- Connect to Jump Starter: Insert the DC output connector of the adapter firmly into the charging port of your BoltPower jump starter. Ensure the connection is secure.
- Connect to Power Outlet: Plug the AC input prongs of the adapter into a standard 100-240VAC wall outlet.

Important Polarity Information: Always ensure the correct polarity when connecting power adapters. This adapter features a center-positive polarity. Refer to your jump starter's manual or device label to confirm its required polarity. Incorrect polarity can damage your device.

Figure 3: Polarity diagram. The diagram illustrates the correct center-positive polarity (indicated by a green checkmark) and an incorrect center-negative polarity (indicated by a red 'X'). The correct symbol shows the inner circle as positive (+) and the outer circle as negative (-).
3. Operating Instructions
Once properly connected, the adapter will begin to supply power to your BoltPower jump starter. The charging indicator on your jump starter (if available) should activate, indicating that it is receiving power.
- Allow the jump starter to charge until its battery indicator shows a full charge, as per the jump starter's own instructions.
- Do not leave the jump starter connected to the adapter indefinitely after it is fully charged, unless the jump starter's manual specifies it is safe for continuous connection.
- Disconnect the adapter from the wall outlet and then from the jump starter when charging is complete or when the jump starter is not in use.
4. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Disconnect the adapter from all power sources before cleaning. Use a dry, soft cloth to wipe the adapter. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the adapter in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Avoid bending or kinking the cable excessively.
- Cable Care: Do not pull the cable to disconnect the adapter from the wall outlet or the jump starter. Always grasp the plug or connector directly.
5. Troubleshooting
- No Power Output:
- Ensure the adapter is securely plugged into a working wall outlet.
- Verify the connection to the jump starter is firm.
- Check for any visible damage to the adapter or cable.
- Jump Starter Not Charging:
- Confirm the jump starter's charging port is clean and free of debris.
- Note: Rechargeable batteries do not last indefinitely. The average lifespan of a battery is 1 to 3 years. If the battery in your jump starter is old or faulty, it may not accept a charge, which is not an issue with the charger itself.
- Refer to your jump starter's manual for specific charging indicators and troubleshooting steps.
- Adapter Overheating:
- It is normal for the adapter to feel slightly warm during operation. However, if it becomes excessively hot, disconnect it immediately from the power source and the jump starter.
- Ensure adequate ventilation around the adapter. Do not cover it.
