Setup

1. Battery Installation

The DISH Network Remote 52.0 requires two (2) AA batteries for operation. Ensure correct polarity when inserting the batteries.

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote control.
  2. Slide the cover downwards to open the compartment.
  3. Insert two AA batteries, matching the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Slide the cover back into place until it clicks securely.

2. Pairing with Your Receiver

The remote can operate in Infrared (IR) mode or Radio Frequency (RF) mode. For RF operation with Hopper and Wally receivers, pairing is required. For IR operation, direct line-of-sight to the receiver is necessary.

To pair your remote with a Hopper or Wally receiver for RF control:

  1. Ensure your receiver is powered on.
  2. Point the remote at the receiver.
  3. Press the SYSTEM INFO button on the front panel of your Hopper or Wally receiver.
  4. On the remote, press and hold the PAIR button (usually located inside the battery compartment or on the side) until the remote's lights flash.
  5. Follow any on-screen prompts to complete the pairing process.

If your remote is not pairing, ensure there are no obstructions and that the batteries are fresh.
