Setup
1. Physical Connection
- Place the printer on a stable, flat surface.
- Connect the power supply to the printer's power port and then plug it into a grounded electrical outlet.
- For USB connection: Connect one end of the USB cable to the printer's USB port and the other end to your computer's USB port.
- For Ethernet connection: Connect an Ethernet cable to the printer's Ethernet port and the other end to your network router or switch.

2. Loading Labels
The SLP-DX220 supports direct thermal labels up to 2 inches in width.
- Open the printer's top cover by pressing the blue release button on the side.
- Place the roll of labels onto the media spindle, ensuring the labels feed from the bottom of the roll.
- Feed the leading edge of the labels through the media guides until it extends slightly past the print head.
- Adjust the media guides to fit the width of your labels snugly, without pinching them.
- Close the top cover firmly until it latches.
- The printer will automatically calibrate and feed a few labels to detect the label gap.
3. Driver Installation
Install the printer drivers on your computer to enable communication between the printer and your operating system.
