3.4 Car Seat Vehicle Installation
The infant car seat can be installed in your vehicle using the vehicle's seat belt. Refer to the separate car seat instruction manual for detailed installation steps and safety guidelines specific to your car seat model. Always ensure the car seat is installed correctly and securely before placing your child in it.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Adjusting the Handle
The stroller features a reversible and telescopic handle. To adjust the handle height, locate the adjustment buttons on either side of the handle. Press these buttons and extend or retract the handle to your desired height. Release the buttons to lock the handle in place. To reverse the handle direction, press the release buttons and swing the handle over to the opposite side of the stroller.
4.2 Reclining the Seat
The stroller seat offers 4 recline positions. Locate the recline lever or button on the back of the seat. Press or lift the lever and adjust the seat to the desired angle. Ensure the seat locks into one of the four positions before use.
4.3 Using the 5-Point Harness
To secure your child, place them in the seat and bring the shoulder straps over their shoulders, the waist straps around their hips, and the crotch strap between their legs. Insert the buckles of the shoulder and waist straps into the central buckle until they click. Adjust the straps to ensure a snug fit, leaving enough room for one finger between the strap and your child's body. To release, press the button on the central buckle.
4.4 Folding the Stroller
The Legacy LX stroller features a compact, two-hand fold system. Ensure the seat is in an upright position and the canopy is retracted. Locate the folding mechanisms, typically on the handle or sides of the frame. Follow the specific instructions for your model to engage the folding latches and collapse the stroller. Ensure the stroller is fully folded and locked for transport or storage.

4.5 Using the Hand Brake
The stroller is equipped with a convenient hand brake. To engage the brake, push the lever down. To release, lift the lever up. Always ensure the brake is fully engaged when the stroller is stationary to prevent accidental movement.
4.6 Converting to Bassinet Mode
To convert the seat unit into a bassinet, adjust the recline to the fully flat position. Depending on the model, you may need to release side straps or buckles to flatten the seat base and raise the footrest to form an enclosed bassinet. Ensure all conversion mechanisms are securely fastened.
4.7 Canopy and Observation Window
The extensible canopy provides protection from the elements. It features a rear zipper to access an observation window, allowing you to check on your child without disturbing them. Extend or retract the canopy as needed.
5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Clean the fabric parts with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not use harsh detergents or bleach. Allow to air dry completely. The frame can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.
- Wheels: Regularly check the wheels for debris and ensure they rotate freely. Lubricate axles if necessary with a silicone-based lubricant.
- Storage: Store the travel system in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight to prevent fading and material degradation.
- Inspections: Periodically check all fasteners, rivets, and plastic parts for security and damage. Replace worn or damaged parts immediately.
6. Troubleshooting
- Stroller does not fold easily: Ensure the seat is in the upright position and the canopy is retracted. Check for any obstructions in the folding mechanism.
- Wheels are stiff or squeaky: Clean any dirt or debris from the wheel axles. Apply a small amount of silicone lubricant to the moving parts of the wheels.
- Harness is difficult to buckle/unbuckle: Ensure the buckles are aligned correctly. Clean any debris from the buckle mechanism.
- Stroller feels unstable: Ensure all frame locks are fully engaged. Do not exceed the maximum weight capacity for the child or the storage basket.
