Setup

1. Power Connection:

1. Unpack the Muse M-172 BT and its power adapter.
2. Insert the small end of the power adapter into the DC IN jack located on the back of the unit.
3. Plug the other end of the power adapter into a standard wall outlet.
4. The display will light up, indicating the unit is powered on.

2. Initial Time Setting:

Upon first power-up, the time may flash or display a default value. Follow these steps to set the correct time:

• Press and hold the TIME SET button (if available, otherwise refer to HR/MIN buttons).
• Use the HR button to adjust the hour.
• Use the MIN button to adjust the minute.
• Press the TIME SET button again to confirm and exit time setting mode.

Operating Instructions

1. Setting Alarms (Alarm 1 & Alarm 2):

1. Press and hold the ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 button. The alarm time will flash.
2. Use the HR button to set the desired alarm hour.
3. Use the MIN button to set the desired alarm minute.
4. Press the ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 button again to select the wake-up source:
   • Buzzer: A standard beeping sound.
   • Radio: Wakes you up to the last tuned FM station.
   • Bluetooth: Wakes you up to audio from a connected Bluetooth device.
5. Press the ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 button one more time to confirm and activate the alarm. An alarm icon will appear on the display.
6. To deactivate an alarm, press the corresponding ALARM button until the alarm icon disappears from the display.

2. FM Radio Operation:

1. Press the SOURCE button repeatedly until "FM" appears on the display.
2. Automatic Scan: Press and hold the PLAY/PAUSE button. The radio will automatically scan and save available FM stations to presets (up to 20).
3. Manual Tuning: Briefly press the SKIP FORWARD or SKIP BACKWARD buttons to fine-tune the frequency.
4. Recalling Presets: Briefly press the PRESET + or PRESET - buttons to cycle through saved stations.
5. Volume Adjustment: Use the VOLUME + or VOLUME - buttons to adjust the listening volume.

3. Bluetooth Pairing and Playback:

1. Press the SOURCE button repeatedly until "BT" appears on the display. The Bluetooth indicator will flash, indicating pairing mode.
2. On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
3. Select "M-172 BT" from the list of found devices. Once paired, the Bluetooth indicator on the M-172 BT display will stop flashing and remain solid.
4. You can now play audio from your device. Use the PLAY/PAUSE, SKIP FORWARD, and SKIP BACKWARD buttons on the M-172 BT to control playback, or control directly from your paired device.
5. NFC Pairing (for compatible devices): Simply tap your NFC-enabled device on the NFC logo area on top of the M-172 BT to initiate pairing. Follow the prompts on your device.

4. USB Charging Function:

• Locate the USB charging port on the back or side of the unit.
• Connect your mobile device's USB charging cable to this port.
• The M-172 BT will provide power to charge your device. Note that this port is for charging only and does not support data transfer or audio playback.

5. Display Brightness (Dimmer):

• Press the SNOOZE/DIMMER button (often the large button on top) repeatedly to cycle through different brightness levels (e.g., High, Medium, Low, Off).
• Select the desired brightness for comfortable viewing, especially in dark environments.

6. Snooze and Nap Function:

• Snooze: When an alarm sounds, press the SNOOZE button to temporarily silence the alarm. The alarm will sound again after a few minutes (typically 9 minutes).
