4. Setup and Assembly

4.1 Attaching the Debris Shield (Trimmer)

1. Align the debris shield with the trimmer head.
2. Snap the shield firmly into place until it clicks.
3. Secure the shield with the provided screw, if applicable.

1. Loosen the auxiliary handle clamp.

• Edging: To convert to an edger, twist the trimmer head 90 degrees. The integrated wheel allows for precise edging along sidewalks and driveways. Guide the wheel along the edge, maintaining a consistent depth.

5.2 Sweeper Operation

The LSW221 sweeper is designed for clearing debris from hard surfaces.

• Debris Removal: Hold the sweeper firmly and direct the blow tube towards the debris. Use a sweeping motion to gather leaves, grass clippings, and other light debris into piles for easy disposal.
• Quiet Operation: The sweeper is engineered for quiet performance, allowing for use without excessive noise disruption.

6. Battery and Charging

The kit utilizes a 20V MAX* Lithium Ion Battery, part of the BLACK+DECKER POWERCONNECT battery system. This system allows for interchangeable use of the battery across multiple compatible tools.

6.1 Charging the Battery
