1. Introduction

The Kärcher 15" Surface Cleaner is designed to work with gas pressure washers (up to 3200 PSI) to efficiently clean large outdoor surfaces. Its dual spinning nozzles and 15-inch cleaning path significantly reduce cleaning time and eliminate streaks, providing a professional-level clean. The integrated shroud and splash-free skirt minimize overspray, ensuring a drier cleaning experience.

  • Efficient Cleaning: 15” wide cleaning path with two spinning nozzles for faster, streak-free results.
  • Multi-Surface Use: Ideal for concrete, driveways, patios, decks, sidewalks, and vertical surfaces like garage doors and home siding.
  • Superior Clean: Maintains a fixed height from the surface to prevent streaking.
  • Drier Experience: Shroud and splash-free skirt reduce overspray.

  • Ensure all connections are secure before starting the pressure washer.
  • Do not direct the spray at people, pets, or electrical equipment.
  • Keep children and bystanders away from the work area.
  • Operate the surface cleaner on a stable, level surface.
  • Never attempt to clean the nozzles or internal components while the unit is connected to a pressurized water source.
  • Disconnect the surface cleaner from the pressure washer and relieve pressure before performing any maintenance or adjustments.

4. Setup

  1. Prepare Pressure Washer: Ensure your gas pressure washer is turned off and disconnected from the water supply. Relieve any residual pressure in the system by squeezing the trigger gun.
  2. Connect Extension Wand: Attach the provided extension wand to your pressure washer's spray gun. The ¼” quick-connect fitting allows for easy and secure attachment. Pull back the collar on the spray gun's quick-connect, insert the extension wand, and release the collar to lock it in place.
  3. Attach Surface Cleaner: Connect the Kärcher 15" Surface Cleaner unit to the end of the extension wand. Similar to the previous step, pull back the collar on the extension wand's quick-connect, insert the surface cleaner's fitting, and release the collar to secure it.
  4. Check Connections: Tug gently on all connections to ensure they are firmly seated and will not detach during operation.

5. Operating Instructions

  1. Start Pressure Washer: Follow your pressure washer's instructions to start the engine and connect it to a water source. Allow the water to flow through the system until a steady stream is achieved.
  2. Position Surface Cleaner: Place the surface cleaner flat on the surface you intend to clean. Ensure the bristles are in full contact with the ground.
  3. Begin Cleaning: Squeeze the trigger gun to activate the water flow. The internal nozzles will begin to spin, and the unit will hover slightly above the surface.
  4. Move Steadily: Guide the surface cleaner in slow, overlapping passes, similar to mowing a lawn. Overlap each pass by approximately 1/3 of the cleaning width to ensure even cleaning and prevent streaks.
  5. Clean Vertical Surfaces: For vertical surfaces like garage doors or home siding, hold the surface cleaner against the surface and move it in controlled, overlapping motions.
  6. Stop Cleaning: Release the trigger gun to stop the water flow. Turn off your pressure washer and disconnect the water supply. Relieve any remaining pressure in the system.

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your surface cleaner.

  • After Each Use:
    • Disconnect the surface cleaner from the pressure washer.
    • Rinse the unit thoroughly with clean water to remove any dirt, debris, or cleaning solution residue.
    • Inspect the nozzles for any clogs or damage. Clear any blockages using a small wire or nozzle cleaning tool.
    • Check the bristle skirt for wear or damage.
  • Storage:
    • Store the surface cleaner in a clean, dry, and frost-free environment.
    • Avoid storing in direct sunlight or extreme temperatures.
  • Periodic Inspection:
    • Regularly check the internal spinning bar and its connection points for any signs of loosening or wear. Tighten if necessary.
    • Ensure the quick-connect fittings are clean and free of corrosion.
