Safety Information

• The mattress used with this crib must be at least 27 1/4 inches (69 cm) by 51 5/8 inches (131 cm) with a thickness not exceeding 6 inches (15 cm).
• When your child is able to climb out, or reaches 35 inches (89 cm) in height, the crib should no longer be used.

Operating Instructions: 4-in-1 Convertibility

The DaVinci Kalani crib is designed to adapt to your child's growth through four stages:

1. Crib Configuration

This is the initial setup for infants. Ensure the mattress support is adjusted to an appropriate height for your child's age and mobility. The highest setting is for newborns, and it should be lowered as the child grows and can sit or stand.

2. Toddler Bed Conversion

When your child is ready to transition from a crib, typically between 18 months and 3 years, you can convert it to a toddler bed. This requires the separate Toddler Conversion Kit (No. M3099).

1. Remove the front rail of the crib.
2. Attach the toddler safety rail from the conversion kit to the designated points.
3. Ensure the mattress support is at the lowest position.

3. Daybed Conversion

The daybed configuration offers an open side for easy access, suitable for older toddlers or as a small seating area. This conversion typically uses the existing crib components.

1. Remove the front rail of the crib.
2. No additional rail is used for the daybed configuration, leaving one side open.

4. Full-Size Bed Conversion

For long-term use, the crib can be converted into a full-size bed. This requires the separate Full-Size Conversion Kit (No. M4799) and a standard full-size mattress and box spring (not included).

1. Disassemble the crib, retaining the headboard and footboard.
2. Attach the full-size bed rails from the conversion kit to the headboard and footboard.
3. Place a full-size mattress and box spring onto the bed frame.
