Introduction

The Dish Network Hopper 3 is an advanced 4K HDDVR designed to enhance your television viewing experience. Setup and Installation

Before beginning installation, ensure you have an active Dish Network subscription.

Required Components

  • Dish Network Subscription: An active subscription is mandatory for the Hopper 3 to function.
  • HYBRID 1000.2 LNB: This specific Low-Noise Block downconverter is required for your satellite dish. Previous LNBs are not compatible.
  • Hybrid Solo Hub: This hub is essential for connecting your Hopper 3. Previous Solo Nodes will not work.

Connecting Your Hopper 3

Follow these steps to connect your Hopper 3. It is recommended to have a professional Dish technician perform the initial setup, especially for LNB and hub installation.

  1. Ensure all power to your television and existing satellite equipment is off.
  2. Connect the coaxial cable from your Hybrid Solo Hub to the Satellite In port on the back of the Hopper 3.
  3. Connect an HDMI cable from the HDMI Out port on the Hopper 3 to an available HDMI In port on your television.
  4. Connect the power adapter to the Hopper 3 and then plug it into a power outlet.
  5. Turn on your television and select the correct HDMI input.
  6. Follow the on-screen prompts for initial setup and activation.
