Maintenance
Cleaning the Bobbin Area
Regularly clean the bobbin case and feed dog area using the provided lint brush to remove lint and dust. This prevents thread jams and ensures smooth operation.
Needle Replacement
Replace the needle frequently, especially when sewing different fabric types or if the needle becomes dull or bent. Use the correct needle type and size for your fabric.
General Care
Keep the machine covered with the semi-hard fabric machine cover when not in use to protect it from dust. Avoid pulling on the fabric while sewing, as this can bend the needle or affect stitch quality.
Troubleshooting
Skipped Stitches
- Ensure the needle is inserted correctly and is not bent or dull.
- Check if the correct needle type is being used for the fabric.
- Re-thread the upper thread and bobbin.
Thread Breakage
- Verify that the machine is threaded correctly, both upper and bobbin.
- Check for burrs or rough spots on the needle plate or bobbin case.
- Ensure the thread tension is appropriate for the fabric and thread type.
- Use good quality thread.
Uneven Stitches
- Adjust the foot pressure according to the fabric thickness.
- Check the upper and bobbin thread tension.
