Operating Instructions
1. Stitch Selection

2. Box Feed System
The machine incorporates an industrial-style box feed system. This mechanism moves the feed dog in a box motion, which helps to prevent material shrinking and shifting, ensuring consistent and high-quality seams across various fabric types.
3. Sewing Different Materials
The HZL-70HW is capable of sewing a wide range of materials, from lightweight fabrics to heavy-duty items like denim. The improved presser foot construction provides powerful feeding, making it easier to handle multiple layers of thick fabric without difficulty.
4. Buttonhole Creation
Select from 8 available buttonhole types. Attach the appropriate buttonhole presser foot. The machine will automatically create precise and high-quality buttonholes.
5. Additional Features
- LED Light: Provides bright illumination of the sewing area.
- Fine Overcasting Stitch: For neat and secure seam finishes.
- Drop Feed: Allows for free-motion sewing and quilting by disengaging the feed dogs.

1. Cleaning
Regularly clean the bobbin case, feed dogs, and needle plate area using the brush provided. Remove any lint or thread buildup to ensure smooth operation.

Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter during operation.
- Skipped Stitches: Ensure the needle is inserted correctly and is not bent or dull. Use the appropriate needle for your fabric. Check that the machine is threaded correctly.
- Thread Jamming: This often occurs due to incorrect threading, a damaged bobbin, or lint buildup in the bobbin area. Re-thread the machine, inspect the bobbin, and clean the bobbin case.
- Uneven Tension: Verify that both the upper thread and bobbin thread are correctly installed. Adjust the upper thread tension dial as needed.
- Needle Breaking: Ensure the needle is fully inserted and tightened. Avoid pulling the fabric forcefully while sewing. Use the correct needle size for the fabric thickness.
