4.2. Physical Connection

Once the drivers are installed, you can connect the adapter to your computer.

  1. Locate an available USB 3.0 or USB 2.0 port on your computer. For optimal performance, use a USB 3.0 port.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Connecting to a Wireless Network

After successful installation, you can connect to an available Wi-Fi network.

  1. On your computer, open the network settings or Wi-Fi icon in the system tray/notification area.

  3. The adapter and router will automatically establish a secure connection.

5.3. Soft AP Mode (Access Point)

The Soft AP feature allows the adapter to function as a wireless access point, sharing your computer's internet connection with other Wi-Fi enabled devices.

  1. Ensure your computer has an active internet connection (e.g., via Ethernet).
  2. Open the EDUP wireless utility software (usually installed with the drivers).
  3. Locate and enable the "Soft AP" or "Access Point" mode within the utility.
  4. Configure the network name (SSID) and password for your new Wi-Fi hotspot.

6. Maintenance
